A message from Dr. Tranter:

I want to be your doctor… but only if I can help you!

During your initial visit, we will sit down and discuss your condition and you will receive a thorough evaluation to determine if you are likely to benefit from care. If so, you will receive recommendations for your fastest path to better health. My friendly staff will then explain the estimated cost of your care. If you wish to begin care you will be scheduled for your recommended treatments, and always treated with the utmost safety, comfort and fewest number of visits possible.

If at any point it becomes apparent that you cannot benefit from care, I will tell you and can make a recommendation to a practitioner who may help.

I have lots of tools to help: acupressure, acupuncture, muscle and joint techniques, chiropractic care, sports injury experience, stress reduction techniques and common sense health recommendations. For patients who choose acupuncture needles, only quality, sterile, single-use needles are used.

Lastly, I want you to not only feel better but to GET AND STAY WELL. As an option for maximum wellness after you are feeling better I may recommend occasional, periodic visits that help keep your entire body in balance and working at 100% efficiency.

I started seeing Dr. Tranter for acupuncture a few years ago and my health has improved immensely. I was skeptical at first because I’ve tried holistic medicine before and the practitioners all seemed to be the type that think hugs cure everything and that not showering is a good thing.

Dr Tranter explains everything as he is doing it and consistently researches new techniques to utilize in his practice. Additionally, he does not talk about auras, chakras, spirit worlds or make you choke from incense. In fact after your appointment he gives you candy.

Karin B., Georgetown

My wife’s arthritis required 2 prescription pain pills daily. After 2 acupuncture treatments, she has no need for them for two weeks. Magic!”-
Walter and Virginia B., Georgetown

"I was very dizzy and could not walk well. With acupuncture, I would say I am 90 % better – maybe more. What I Tell Others: Try it – you’ll like it.”
Shirley K., Georgetown

“When I began acupuncture with Dr. Tranter, I was sick with chronic back and abdominal pain and on a very limited diet because of Interstitial Cystitis (a severely painful bladder condition with no known cure.) I received pain relief with the first treatment! After about 6 weeks, I was able to exercise without pain and eat foods that used to cause pain. Although the pain isn’t completely gone, I am able to tolerate what pain I do have. I can now eat just about anything without taking pain medication!
Krista N., Georgetown

“I was at the point of amputation! After acupuncture, the severe arthritis pain in my right hand has been reduced by 90-95%. What I tell others: Acupuncture is ‘Easy-Peasy’ – absolutely nothing to it. Come in, lay down and relax. It’s a very gentle treatment considering the pain I had.”
Tricia E., Georgetown

"Through acupuncture, my overall wellness has improved – I just feel better. What I tell others: Keep an open mind. I always wanted to try acupuncture. So when the opportunity presented itself, I took a chance to see if it would work; I am glad I did. That’s what is great about trying new things. I will now recommend acupuncture every chance I get.”
Mark McC., Georgetown

"I started acupuncture for a terrible shoulder and arm pain after lung surgery. After three treatments, my pain was almost gone. What I tell others: I was skeptical at first. Whoever heard of needles in your body doing any good? But it works wonders and it doesn’t hurt!”
